Dr Ambreen Shah, Director of Policy, Research and Communications at Design Council is responsible for developing insight, evidence and research on the value of design and communicating this to a wide range of audiences across the economy.
Her training is as a social scientist and in evaluative research. She has a PhD on ‘Muslims in Britain: Ideas of British Citizenship’.
Ambreen will be talking about her research into the the design economy, how it’s generated £85.2 billion GVA to the UK and the demand for design skills are growing.
But how do we ensure we have enough designers to secure our future economy, while continuing success looks shaky as a shortage of talent afflicts the industry, and its roots are in education policy.
