Catherine Greig Collaborating with Communities

Catherine launched make:good in 2009, a small but powerful architect and design studio based in London that puts people at the heart of community change.

Make:good collaborates with a whole community on the future of their local area and its built environment.

With a team of 8 designers (including Cotton the rather gorgeous westie) they use their creative expertise to co-design local solutions through an open dialogue, harnessing local assets and building the kind of strong supportive community relationships that creates a lasting social infrastructure.

A qualified Architect and social design expert, Catherine set up make:good to bring together those qualifications with her interest in people centred design.

Her dedication to delivering projects that are truly participatory and where local people have meaningful influence has allowed make:good to create real change in a range of sectors including Schools, Local Authorities and Community Groups.

As well as working on individual projects and leading on business strategy at make:good, Catherine is a trustee of the Awesome Foundation, which helps to find and fund innovative social change projects, a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Glass-House enabler and a mentor on the Year Here programme.
